Signs of Recovery Observed in Damaged Marine Reserve
A marine protected area in Scotland is showing early signs of recovery after illegal dredging caused severe damage in 2019. Using a camera drone, scientists observed cat sharks, crabs, and sea cucumbers returning to the seabed near Eilean Dubh. Campaigners from Open Seas are now calling for fishing restrictions across thirty percent of Scotland's inland waters. They plan to present a petition to parliament to stop delays and protect fragile coastal ecosystems.
