Present perfect vs past simple

Structure:

present perfect (unfinished time / no specific time) vs past simple (finished time / specific time)

Use past simple with finished time words: yesterday, last week, in 2019, ago. Use present perfect when the time is not finished or not mentioned.

Example:

I've been to Rome. (general experience) / I went to Rome last summer. (specific past time)
