Structure:

algo/alguien (affirmative) vs nada/nadie (negative)

Nada and nadie require no before the verb unless they precede it.

Example:

¿Hay alguien aquí? No hay nadie. ¿Quieres algo? No quiero nada. **Translation:** Is there anyone here? There is nobody. Do you want something? I don't want anything.
