Structure:

verb stem (no -s for -er verbs)

Unlike other verb types, -er verbs drop the -s in the tu imperative: parle (not *parles).

Example:

Parle plus lentement ! Écoute bien ! **Translation:** Speak more slowly! Listen carefully!
