Direct and indirect objects: word order

Structure:

subject + verb + indirect object + direct object

When both objects are nouns, indirect comes first. When direct object is a pronoun, order may be reversed: Jeg ga den til ham.

Example:

Jeg ga ham boken. **Translation:** I gave him the book.
