Adverbs of manner: adjective + -ment

Structure:

masculine adjective + -ment (or feminine form if masculine ends in consonant)

If the masculine adjective ends in a vowel, add -ment directly (vrai→vraiment). If it ends in a consonant, use the feminine form (lent→lente→lentement).

Example:

Il parle lentement. Elle répond rapidement. Heureusement, il est arrivé. **Translation:** He speaks slowly. She answers quickly. Fortunately, he arrived.
