Structure:

same subject → å + infinitive; different subject → at + subclause

Norwegian (like other Scandinavian languages) cannot use an infinitive when the subject of the infinitive differs from the main subject.

Example:

Jeg vil dra. (same subject) / Jeg vil at du skal dra. (different subject) **Translation:** I want to leave. / I want you to leave.
