Ordinal numbers: premier, deuxième, troisième...

Structure:

cardinal number + -ième (except premier/première for 1st)

Only premier/première is irregular. All others: deux→deuxième, trois→troisième, etc. Cinq→cinquième (note spelling).

Example:

C'est la première fois. Il habite au deuxième étage. Elle est arrivée troisième. **Translation:** It's the first time. He lives on the second floor. She came in third.
